Many discharges from Hospitals and Hotels and other large commercial and residential condominiums use Chlorine for water treatments and then dispose the so treated waters into the ground- by use in gardening or simply disposing off the waste waters (including sewage waters) into the municipal sewage lines- This causes the ground waters to become contaminated over a period of time with harmful drugs, antibiotics and other chemical compounds. Chlorine as compared with OZONE – does not remove all bacteria, antibiotics etc.-The Bacteria commonly found in ground and surface waters called Cryptosporidium is an example of one such that causes many chronic health problems in the long run. Ozone on the other hand has been found to eliminate all such bacteria and other harmful drugs, antibiotics etc.

While such chlorine treated waters from STP plants are sometimes used for recirculation into utility use in such establishments- the residual chlorine present in water is always a potential long-term hazard for human health. On the other hand, if Ozone is used- as the final tertiary treatment – the use of chlorine can be substantially reduced or even eliminated- and with Ozone converting itself back into Oxygen – the waters will be safe for human use post treatment and with NO RESIDUAL ODORS OR FOUL SMELLS- as Ozone effectively removes ALL ODORS – including the sometimes-nasty CHLORINE ODOR.

The Ozonated waters in STP plants can be effectively used in Cooling Towers, gardening, recycled for use back into utilities (thus ensuring huge savings in water costs, and reducing the burden of water consumption) etc.

In many domestic households also Ozone systems at low capital costs can be effectively put to use to RECLAIM, RETREAT AND REUSE - in all their kitchens and bathrooms – thus reducing the burden of the fast depleting and costly resource (WATER !)
